91V Upcycled Denim Jacket

This upcycled denim jacket is made of two pairs of late 90s/early aughts denim and a tiny bit of early 80s denim. The panels of the jacket are similar, but clearly different upon inspection. I believe the wearing and washing process will reveal further differences in these fabrics and the way they show their age.

This jacket features a pocket setup taken from Lee's iconic 91B design, with a slight twist - the orientation of the upper pocket is flipped. This one's upper pocket is adorned with an incredible Crown chain zip. The bottom pockets are secured with fake bartacks done on my vintage Singer 319W. All other stitches are done by my antique treadle machines, and all buttonholes are handsewn. The seams are all flat felled, and the buttons are backed by leather. Finally, the waistbands of the contributing jeans were cut to create the adjustment method on this jackets sides.
